Sofia Bunting Newman is a performer living in New York. Stage credits include Neworld Theatre’s Doost, Mona in Why I Hate Utah (which she also co-directed and co-produced), Inez McCormack in Seven, Claire Ganz in Rumors, Mary Snow in Salt-Water Moon, Jan in Grease, H in Theatre Replacement’s international co-production of That Night Follows Day and Pandora Wonder in Runaways, a two-hander she did alongside her father, Richard. She also participated in Carousel’s Teen Shakespeare Programme from 2008-2014, where she played such roles as Don Armado in Love’s Labour’s Lost, Hamlet in Hamlet, Trinculo in The Tempest and Mark Antony in Julius Caesar.
Film & TV credits include The 100, The Flash, Lucifer, Death Note, Beaches, Live Like Line, Status Update, Paper Angels and From America, With Love.
Sofia recently had the pleasure of singing Off-Broadway at the Sage Theater in New York as part of Peter Sklar’s Beginnings Workshop.
