Since his first fringe tour in 1998, TJ Dawe’s performances have earned him acclaim and sell out houses all across Canada. His writing has regularly been awarded “Pick of the Fringe” and he is often asked to perform extended runs at festivals he performs at. TJ’s writing has recently helped established a Hollywood relationship with Fox Searchlight studios as they picked up his 2001 hit play Toothpaste and Cigars for adaptation to the screen.
Now regarded as a “fringe-legend,” for this incredible writing, TJ Dawe uses a unique brand of performance inspired by performers like George Carlin and by the literature about underdog-hero’s like Lord of the Rings, Lucky 9 features an incredible tale that winds around HBO’s The Wire, Books of Vancouver resident Dr. Gabor Maté, the nine Enneagram personality types and his own personal journey through development in this one-man show that has already engaged, transfixed and compelled audiences across Canada to sell out his fringe performances.
